Despite a soft market and insurance rates dropping as much as 65 percent, Clegg Insurance Group has experienced consistent growth. This year alone, the Florida-based insurance agency headquartered in Clearwater has seen a 45 percent increase in net income.

As a result of their continued growth, Clegg Insurance Group is finalizing the purchase of a nearly 4,000 square-foot building located in the Morton Plant district of downtown Clearwater. They are scheduled to close on the building in December and begin renovating the space with plans to move into it by July of 2016.

“We are excited about the strides that we have made this year and are looking forward to completing the renovations of our new Clearwater office, which will give us even more room to expand,” said Ryan Clegg, chief executive officer of Clegg Insurance Group. “Our growth this year has been 100 percent organic and is a demonstration that clients are choosing us because of our ability to save them money on their insurance needs.”

While Clegg Insurance did not make any acquisitions in 2015, they are constantly looking to expand their business through acquisitions. In 2013, Clegg Insurance acquired Florida Insurance Partners in Safety Harbor, and in 2014 they acquired Hopf & Hopf, a Tampa-based insurance firm.
